i play farmville but am inundated with a cause for this and that, like more chicken coops, free fuel or being able to buy fuel, stables for horses, one click harvesting and so forth ad nauseum. it seems every day there are several new ones popping up.
do they even do any excellent? are we all just wasting our time with them?

I reckon not. I play farmville also, and i believe that donating to the red cross will help the causes a lot quicker than Zynga.
I wouldn’t advise spending real money playing farmville, they are always adding new free stuff.
