Yes, you can definetly mix the two together, though a coop that small is aweful tight for that many birds. They all eat pretty close to the same thing. Though ducks usually like food that is a bit more course, like grains, corn and stuff like that, where some people only feed their chickens the feed that is partially crushed up since they have much smaller beaks.

When i was young, our ducks use to like small bits of fruit that we would feed them when we played with them. Ours were very tamed and more like family pets then anything. When I was small we would even bring them in the house and into the pool with us and swim around with them. Our older ones would stand on our shoulders as we walked around. I miss having them.

That’s kind of tight, but if each has a nesting spot or box & they all get along, it’s workable.

Basically they can eat the same feeds, though there are feeds for ducks and there are feeds for chickens, but my grandmother threw out the vegetable scraps from the table as well as oats, cracked corn & other grains for both the ducks & chickens.

Chickens tasted excellent, ducks tasted excellent & their eggs tasted excellent, but then today we have the modern processed feeds specifically formulated for ABC ducks and feeds for XYZ chickens.

my chickens and ducks eat the same food which is layers pellets and mixed corn sometimes table scraps and veg peelings as for keeping them in the same coop maybe they may get on but I found the chickens tended to peck at them a lot so I place the ducks in their own small shed with 2 small car tyres in which I filled with wood shavings and shredded paper if they are not let out too early in the morning they will lay their eggs in the tyres instead of outside where you might not be able to find them.
