..it’s there because I can place chickens in it..but I can’t collect the eggs..I have updated all or my browsers too..and still no luck..help!!! how do i turn off godmode? am doing a science honest project on chickens to see if, when they hatch, the first living thing the chickens see it will assume it’s their mother. so, i am getting 3 chicken eggs, and will observe them into adult hood. i was wondering if you had any thoughts on how to make a excellent incubator, coop, and stuff like that. also the best supplies to do it with. thanks in advance.

Are these laws about owning pet chickens in violation of each other? Is there a chance we could get chickens?

I live in Hamburg Township, MI. We were really excited to be plotting to get chickens this coming May, and we even bought some lumber to make a coop last night. I told my husband to call up to the township just to double check that we’d be allowed to, so he called them up about an hour ago.

What we got was some very depressing news. Apparently, you have to own at least 2 acres of land to be allowed to get chickens. Sadly, we only have 1/2 an acre. We had a fantastic spot picked out to place a coop and everything, and it was huge enough that they could live comfortably and healthily.

I questioned this question on a different forum, and all I got was a bunch of people telling me to "go ahead and get them anyway", but I have HORRIBLE neighbors who would surely report me and fight to have me fined if I was indeed violating any law.

Anyway, our kids are absolutely crushed. My nine year ancient stepdaughter locked herself in her room and won’t stop crying. I chose to go online, do some research, and see if I could somehow find a loophole through this upsetting ordinance. I found this thread:

And that inspired me to do some searching about the Michigan Right to Farm act.

My question is whether or not the Michigan Right To Farm Act overrides the township zoning ordinances, or vice versa. Who can I get into contact with that could give me more information?

While I appreciate the time you took to copy and paste that information from other websites, it is not animal diseases that I inferred about. We know the dangers, yet we plotted to have our pets vaccinated and we know how to keep their habitat clean and disease-free. Thank you for your time, but again, this was not what I was looking for.

We have 7 chickens in our fenced in back yard, in a large fenced in coop. We keep everything clean, and they are very silent. (they make less noise than our two golden retrievers). You cannot see, or hear them from any other house, or from the road. My question is - are chickens legal inside city limits in Gautier, MS?

Chicken Health?

I just got a bantam frizzle chicken from a friend. He does not have a lot of feathers at the moment because he was being picked on by other chickens that she has. She has a large assortment of chickens. They are all kept in one coop, but it is divided into 3 areas. He is about 7 months ancient she said. When I got him home I realised he had snot coming out of his beak. He seems to be pleased, always talking to me as he gets more comfortable with me…. and nothing seems amiss aside from this runny nose. I picked him up on Monday and he rode with me back home an hour and a half in the car back home. I read somewhere online that runny noses can be caused by stress. If so, how long does this take to clear up? What are all of the illnesses that have runny noses as a symptom? He doesn’t sound like he has distress breathing and he seems pretty pleased. Is there anyway to fix this? I questioned her if her other chickens have this and she said no but she has a lot of chickens… I have never owned a chicken
before, so I’m not sure what to expect. I am really urgent to get some help for this.

(My friend also said he should get all of his feathers back in about 2 weeks… the feathers on his head are coming in fantastic, but the ones on his wings and his body have yet to appear. How long should I wait for them to grow back or will they ever grow?)

Can i keep chickens in bloomingdale illinois incorporated? I have a huge backyard and will make a coop and heater and everything, but i dont know if the law approves and i can not find the answer! I want chickens for the experiene and eggs. Ill get hens only if i need to. Tganks

Tell me honestly i like i excellent critique, these are some of my favorite poems that i haven’t looked at in awhile.

Jumping the Border

Headache and heartache:
Curl up in the huge green chair or
Escape to the barn, but
Don’t get locked in the chicken coop.
Shattering blue and white bowl
Nipping at my ankles as I run.
Sheep jumping the border.
Dead fish, the ice storm of ‘98
A bale of hay and a falling ladder.
Carelessness, my stepfather

Joyful and Spirit filled:
Two new homes and
Vibrant kids,
Excited to hear and delight in.
Me, no, I’m not amusing,
Why have I been the clown,

The Final Bomb Explodes

ok sorry about this, but i use different types of spacing in my poems, after reading three comments i realized i confused you guys. There are actualy only two poems here. The first is Jumping the Border & the second is The Final Bomb. Sorry my stanzas confused peopl i should have underlined or quoted the titles.
