I have ordered some chickens and a coop so obviously they will produce eggs. How long until the eggs go terrible when refrigerated? I will also be giving some to friends so I want to give them a excellent thought of how long they will last!
Thanks

The USDA states that raw in-shell eggs will last in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 weeks. Sometimes they will last even longer, but then you would be risking eating a contaminated egg. It is best to use them as quickly as possible.
If your chickens lay eggs that have dirt or droppings encrusted on the shell, do not wash them until you are ready to cook them! Eggs naturally have an invisible, protective layer called the "bloom" that retards bacterial growth. Washing the eggs will ruin the protective layer.
The eggs in the supermarket have been washed. But, the packagers spray the eggs with edible mineral oil to restore the bloom which had been ruined.
you cant tell how long they aye in the store so id say at least a week
They will last around 4 weeks. Make sure you wash them before you place them in the fridge though. They need to go in the fridge with in a few hours of washing them as well. Just like supermarket eggs.
around 24 days
