How to build and maintain a Chicken Coop

How robust are Eglus?

I have recently went to a house with a garden and want to have two or three egg laying chickens. I was looking at Eglus but then what turns up in my garden one morning but a fox! Is an Eglu sturdy enough or should I be looking at a proper shed/chicken coop and run? Any advice appreciated.

I’d suggest something pretty sturdy AND tall enough that your hens can roost up high.
You’ll probably want to get them used to be shut in at night, if you’re seeing foxes!
