That’s a huge project!
U have to reckon about what material u wanna use, what design the coop is, how much material, the size and so on. So a handbook will be helpful for u. It lists all material, size and coop design etc clearly. U will find building a coop with this handbook will be very simple and amusing:)

I wish I lived in an area where I could keep chickens. The best advice I can give is to build it up higher off the ground for air circulation and so the rats/mice and predators don’t have it so simple, and give it a hinged roof for simple cleaning. Don’t forget the chicken ramp!
Look online for coop designs. Be aware that any flat surface inside the coop will soon be covered with chicken "stuff’. They need roosts to sleep on and boxes to lay eggs in. You also need a watering device that will offer water at all times. They should also be penned in if you have area dogs running loose. Chickens can glide, so if you don’t clip their wings, the fencing should be at least 8′ high. Make sure you have ventilation for the hot days.
Here’s one you don’t need to build–> http://hubpages.com/hub/Eglu

question a yahoo friend named zenmaster55555 He just built one last summer and he can`t stop talking about it.
I use pails or milk crates screwed to the walls as laying boxes….you should have a sheltered section and an open fenced in section. If you have cold weather you should reckon of heating such as a heating lamp, electric water feeder etc. Be overly cautious of weasels, owls, foxes, coyotes, you need to keep the chickens safe from predators.
