If you place baby chicks in with full grown chickens who aren’t their mother they’ll get killed.
Keep them in a separate enclosure, feed and water them until they are grown, then introduce them into the regular chicken population.

    yes.. why would you question?

Yes that should be fine. But it depends on what environment the new chickens are coming from. So if they were separate from other social activity it’s not such a excellent thought. Otherwise the chickens will be fine. :D

no.the huge ones will hurt the others

Just a warning, you cannot place small chickens in with the huge ones. I wouldn’t do it until they’re around the same age. Once they are the same age you can place all of your chickens together if you reckon there’s enough room in the coop/pen. At first the chickens already in there will probably pick on the newer ones. This could happen for around a week, even longer. If the newer chickens start bleeding or looking like they are going to die take them out immeadiately! If they do not get along you’ll probably have to keep the newer chickens seperated in their own area.

    Hope this helps!
