I know that it enables the farmer to harvest 20 chickens at once, that’s fantastic, but other than that it doesn’t benefit me at all! Every so often I get mystery eggs to share with my friends and my friends click and get a chicken. That’s excellent for them. But I don’t get anything out of it. Shouldn’t I get a chicken too? Am I missing something? Also the levels make no sense. You can place different coloured chickens in it but then you don’t really reach the various levels as far as I can see. Help me!

The whole benefit of the coop is that yeah you get to give out the chicken eggs for your neighbors, they in turn get something from the eggs. Normally with white chicken eggs most of your neighbors will get white chickens but sometimes a brown chicken shows up. The more brown chickens you get and place in the coop increases the chances of collecting brown eggs. Your neighbors get more rare things from these eggs, from these you can get brown chickens or the next level up the black chicken. Same thing gets repeated but from black eggs you run the possibility of getting a gold chicken. From gold chicken eggs you get really really rare things. I’ve seen hot tubs, a donkey and a Farmville float. The whole point is that the colored chickens only come from the mystery eggs. Minus some temporary Christmas presents or buying a brown chicken in the market with Farmville dollars. You don’t beneift straight away from posting the eggs, it’s in the long run that you benefit. It’s hectic but it’s worth it honestly. To get these eggs all 20 chickens need to be in the coop and your chances are higher of collecting special eggs of the higher majority of whichever colored egg is in the coop. The more eggs you place out there, the more your neighbors will get chickens, the more they’ll post their mystery eggs and the higher chance you get to collect something special from their eggs.
By putting the colored chickens in the coop you achieve the different levels for the chickens within the coop. To collect your neighbors eggs you need to get them as quickly as possible as soon as they post it on their wall. Also if you make sure whoever gets something from the eggs keeps it in their gift box for 24 hours, it increases the chances of others getting something from it as well.
It’s basically just a tool to make your friends play more. I haven’t found any use for it either.
